Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Med-Surg Telemetry unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients with neuro-related diagnoses and telemetry needs. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, with the ability to float between units as necessary based on facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for those with neurological conditions, including CVA, epilepsy, and neuro-surgical cases.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor telemetry and perform assessments in partnership with interdisciplinary team members.
• Support patients in pre/post-operative settings and manage acute care situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation utilizing Cerner charting system.
• Participate in continuous education and training, including annual stroke and trauma-related CEUs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience, with a focus on neurologic care.
• Maryland or Compact RN License required at the time of submission.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory.
• Experience with CVA care, pre/post-neurosurgery, and telemetry monitoring.
• Teaching hospital or Level I/II trauma experience preferred.
