Companion Caregiver Needed for Beloved Senior Woman

Amsterdam, New York

About the Role:

A warm and loving family in Amsterdam, NY is seeking a reliable, compassionate caregiver to join our care team in supporting a 90-year-old woman we cherish deeply. This is a one-on-one, in-home companion role for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with older adults and takes pride in providing thoughtful, attentive care.

You'll be joining a small, dedicated team that already includes an LPN and a wonderful young caregiver — both of whom provide excellent, heartfelt support. We're looking to add one more caring individual to help ensure our loved one always has the companionship and assistance she deserves.

What You'll Do:

• Provide warm, engaged companionship throughout the day.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Assist with light daily exercise, such as short walks in the house.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with bathroom needs (simple, straightforward support).
• Keep the senior's immediate living areas clean, tidy, and organized.

• A patient, kind, and genuinely caring approach.
• Respect for the senior's preferences, routines, and privacy.
• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Prior experience caring for the elderly is preferred, but not required — we're happy to train the right person.
• Above all, a passion for caring for older adults.

Schedule:

• 28, 38 or 40 hours per week available DAY TIME Support.
• Flexible scheduling available for the right candidate - we can accommodate mothers and others with busy schedules too.
