Medical Assistant LeadThe Medical Assistant Lead is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant assumes ownership and leads advanced and highly specialized administrative, operational, and customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. You will report to the Center Administrator at the Maryvale Clinic.The Medical Assistant Lead performs clinical tasks. These duties include discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. They also include medication and vaccine administration, and phlebotomy and collecting specimens. Additionally, the responsibilities involve performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms. Furthermore, they require documenting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions regard the daily priorities for an administrative work group or external vendors. These decisions involve coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals. Additionally, the role often oversees the work of others and is the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product, or technology. Work within broad guidelines. The Medical Assistant Lead has advanced knowledge, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.RequiredYou will be Certified or RegisteredYou will have Phlebotomy ExperienceYou will have Medication/vaccine administration experienceYou will have 3+ years MA ExperienceYou will have a High school diploma or equivalentYou will be CPR CertifiedYou will be patient facing and run the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
