Position Summary The Sales Engineer partners with the sales team to provide technical expertise throughout the sales process, with a strong focus on UKG Ready solutions. This role translates client needs into solution designs, delivers system demonstrations, and ensures proposed solutions are technically sound and aligned with customer requirements. The individual walks through demos of the UKG Ready solution to assist in closing the sale. The Sales Engineer acts as a bridge between sales, product, and implementation to help win new business and set clients up for success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Partner closely with sales employees and Account Executives to support the sales cycle from discovery through close Lead tailored demonstrations of the UKG Ready platform based on client use cases, including payroll, time, HR, and benefits modules Build, maintain, and continuously improve demo environments to reflect current features, realistic data, and common client scenarios Develop and customize demo scenarios aligned to target industries, client size, and use cases Provide technical consultation to prospects on system capabilities, integrations, data flows, and configuration options within UKG Ready Explain UKG Ready functionality in a clear, business-friendly way to non-technical stakeholders Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires related to system capabilities and security Collaborate with product, implementation, and support teams to validate solution feasibility Assist with scoping, solution architecture, and pricing inputs where technical components are involved Support proof-of-concepts and pilot projects as needed Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UKG Ready features, updates, and roadmap items Document client requirements and proposed solutions clearly for handoff to implementation Serve as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and prospective clients UKG Ready System and Training Responsibilities Maintain strong functional knowledge of UKG Ready modules and best practices Participate in ongoing UKG Ready training and certifications as required Own the upkeep and accuracy of UKG Ready demo databases, including data refreshes and configuration updates Design and refine demo scripts and storytelling scenarios that highlight value and differentiation Support internal enablement by sharing product knowledge and demo best practices with sales staff Stay current on release notes and new functionality to ensure accurate representation in the sales cycle Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 3-7+ years experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or similar client‑facing technical role Hands‑on experience with UKG Ready strongly preferred Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Experience supporting a B2B SaaS sales cycle Familiarity with APIs and system integrations Excellent presentation and communication skills Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset Ability to manage multiple deals and priorities simultaneously Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field preferred Preferred Experience Experience in payroll, HCM, PEO, or HR technology environments Knowledge of compliance considerations in payroll and HR systems CRM and sales enablement tool familiarity Experience with data migrations and system integrations Core Competencies Client‑centric mindset Technical curiosity and continuous learning Collaboration and teamwork Clear written and verbal communication Strategic thinking and solution design Reporting Structure Reports to: Sales Director / VP Sales / CRO Works closely with: Sales, Product, Implementation, and Customer Success Work Environment Remote or hybrid depending on business needs.
