Position Overview

Hope Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our innovative team in McKinney, Texas. This full-time position is set within our specialized surgical center, focusing on interventional radiology. As part of our collaborative environment, you will work closely with our team of experienced Interventional Radiologists and proceduralists to provide exceptional patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Work Environment

We are proud of our unique model that includes an inpatient admitting service, daily outpatient consultations, and a robust follow-up clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in a three-week rotational schedule, incorporating one week of outpatient care, one week of inpatient responsibilities, and one week dedicated to post-procedure follow-ups.
• Manage an average of 8-17 patients per day when working with inpatients, conducting rounds, performing new consults, and following up on previous consultations.
• Balance your day with 50% of your time spent in independent clinic visits and 50% in shared visits with physicians for new patient intakes, pre-procedure evaluations, and follow-ups, with visits currently taking place 100% virtually.
• Strive to maintain a manageable workload of 8-10 patients in the independent clinic and 8-12 patients in shared visits to support quality care.
• Enjoy a balanced work schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, eliminating the need for nighttime, weekend, or holiday work.

• Comply with all Joint Commission standards, which includes cultural sensitivity, ethical medical practices, and maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Provides medical services only within your competence level, consulting with supervising physicians for complex cases.
• Evaluate and treat patients experiencing acute and chronic health issues, performing thorough assessments and obtaining detailed patient histories.
• Request and interpret diagnostic studies based on patient evaluations, ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis.
• Order necessary laboratory tests and therapeutic procedures, closely monitoring patient responses and outcomes.
• Execute delegated procedures based on demonstrated competency, always within the framework of written standardized protocols.
• Facilitate informed consent processes and manage patients’ admissions and discharges, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
• As part of research initiatives, support the enrollment of patients in approved investigational studies, coordinating necessary testing and medication orders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally within a relevant healthcare setting.
• Current and valid Physician Assistant license with all necessary certifications.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in interventional radiology or a similar surgical environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques and procedural knowledge will be an added advantage in delivering quality care.

Compensation and Benefits
