Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: 300 unit sees surgical, orthopedic, and medical patients and may receive heparin patients. Main unit is more cardiac-focused with stepdown-level acuity, including post-cath, post-pacemaker, post-PCI, TAVR day 1 or greater, CABG day 1 or greater, sepsis, and respiratory distress. Uses Philips telemetry; clinicians read strips. Common drips include amiodarone, heparin, Cardizem, fixed rate insulin, nitro, and dopamine (renal dosing only). No vents, but may receive BiPAP or CPAP patients. Nurse aides: one on night shift, one on mid shift, and 3-4 on day shift. Hospitalist or intensivist is on call after hours. No IV team. RT is available 24/7. After 10pm, after-hours pharmacy support is through Marian.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule). Holidays are worked with permanent staff rotation.

Floating Requirements: First to float. Must float between the 300 unit and the main unit.
