ENTRY Phlebotomist

Overview The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The ENTRY PSR I helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion. This is primarily a Lobby Greeter position to help patients check in at the kiosk and to help them feel more comfortable while waiting to be called back for their labs to be run. Responsibilities The individual will help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. This individual will be trained on Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company. The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect regarding the scheduled procedure in a safe and accurate manner. The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. The impact of this individual will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected. Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general along with a willingness to learn new skills. Once Phlebotomy skills are obtained, perform with confidence both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED Minimum of 1-2 years of client facing customer service REQUIRED (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc). Keyboard/data entry experience a must. Customer service experience required Candidates need to be within a 20-25 min commute window to ensure their ability to travel to/from the site for coverage. Be willing to learn Phlebotomy skills when there is downtime or breaks that need to be covered Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet Some Phlebotomy experience is required Shift/Time Zone: M-F 6:30 a-12:30 p #J-18808-Ljbffr
