CNC Lathe Operator
The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently running CNC turning centers, loading parts, inspecting components, and ensuring consistent quality throughout production.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: based on experience
Schedule: 2nd Shift — 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM
Department: Machining
Reports To: CNC Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes according to work instructions
- Load/unload parts and verify proper workholding
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Make minor offset adjustments when required (if authorized)
- Monitor tool wear and report issues
- Deburr and clean finished parts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Follow all quality and safety procedures
Requirements
- Prior CNC lathe operating experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Basic knowledge of turning operations and tool wear
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance
