Junior Buyer

We are a broadline distributor with a cash n carry operation delivering quality food, service and custom solutions to foodservice operators and restaurants throughout the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut markets. Our growing company is looking fro a Junior Buyer who is motivated and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assistingthe senior buying team inprocurement, vendor coordination, market & price analysis and inventory management. Interaction with the finance, sales and warehouse teams ensuring our operation is running smoothly. Responsibilities Assist in purchasing /sourcing food products to meet demand Request quotes Negotiate pricing Enter and track purchase orders Track deliveries, resolve shipping/invoicing discrepancies Monitor stock levels in the warehouse to prevent shortages Prepare purchasing reports Providingsupport to the procurement team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management High school diploma with 2 years of purchasing/sourcing or inventory experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment Strong communication, negotiation, time managementand problem-solving skills.
