Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our food production plant in Orangeville, IL. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and sanitation of our production processes.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team to provide production and sanitation support.
• Comply with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government.
• Ability to work in all assigned areas of production and perform relief duties when required.
• Ensure that the Master Sanitation Schedule, good organization, and housekeeping are consistently completed.
• Ensure all documentation is completed and verified daily.
• Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude.
• Be cooperative and take initiative to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties/projects as apparent or assigned.
• Become forklift certified, if applicable.
• Use manual pallet jacks.
• Ability to read, understand, and complete SOPs and company documentation.
• Participate and perform in Clean in Place (CIP), housekeeping, and chemical use.
• Flexibility to be cross-trained, adaptable to move between work centers.
• Equipment assembly and setup.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to function and perform in wet and dusty environments with varying temperatures.
• Label to packaging standards.
• Ability to work in elevated platforms with varying heights.
• Ability to work with allergens present (e.g., soy, wheat, and milk).
• Work in a safe and responsible manner always, following all safety policies, procedures, and rules.
• Report unsafe observations or conditions to a supervisor or manager.
• Immediately report any injury or accident to a supervisor or manager.

• Experience within food production is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good math skills.
• Computer data entry skills.
• Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
• Problem solving and deductive reasoning skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitiously.

• Ability to train, lead, and develop teams.
• Operate dryer and oversee mixing and bagging operations.
• Ability to fill in and cover in the supervisor's absence.
• Ability to work in confined spaces during cleaning/troubleshooting.

Work Environment

Work in a food processing plant specializing in mixing protein powders. This position is for the 3rd Shift (Night Shift) with a 2/2/3 split from Monday to Friday, from 4:30 PM to 5 AM, including rotating weekends (3 days one week and 4 days the following week).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Freeport, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
