Dickey Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Production Control Coordinator for our client, a growing manufacturing company in Beloit, WI. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing support, inventory, purchasing, production planning, or materials coordination experience who enjoys working with data, schedules, inventory, and cross-functional teams.


The Production Control Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently by coordinating schedules, monitoring inventory, tracking materials, maintaining documentation, and communicating with suppliers and internal departments.


Schedule

• Monday - Thursday
• 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Overtime on Fridays as needed

Position Summary


The Production Control Coordinator supports manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, tracking materials, maintaining production records, and assisting with workflow planning. This position works closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, and Management to ensure materials and resources are available to meet customer demands and production deadlines.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments
• Coordinate material flow and production schedules to support manufacturing operations
• Adjust production schedules due to material shortages, labor availability, engineering changes, or production interruptions
• Review work orders, staffing requirements, and material needs
• Monitor inventory levels and requisition materials as needed
• Coordinate delivery, assembly, and distribution of supplies and materials
• Communicate with suppliers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules
• Track production progress and provide updates to management
• Compile production reports, inventory usage reports, and production metrics
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, and scheduling documentation
• Monitor work processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
• Prepare documentation related to production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance requests, and staffing plans
• Maintain files including timesheets, production reports, and work orders
• Provide documentation supporting production delays, shortages, or schedule changes
• Collaborate with department supervisors to identify and resolve production issues

Requirements: Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of general office experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing support, inventory control, production planning, materials coordination, or materials handling experience
• Previous Purchasing Clerk or Purchasing Assistant experience is highly preferred
• Strong computer skills with accurate data entry and keyboarding abilities
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word
• Experience using ERP systems such as Sage or Provision is preferred
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Post-secondary coursework or certification in Materials Management is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Physical Requirements

• Sit for extended periods of time, up to 4 hours at a time
• Occasionally lift and carry office supplies, materials, or small packages up to 20-30 pounds
• Reach, bend, and access filing or storage areas as needed
• Ability to move throughout the facility and production floor when coordinating materials and inventory
