Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Registered Behavior Technician working in elementary school settings for grades K-2. This contract position focuses on providing specialized assistance to students with moderate to severe needs, ensuring every child receives the individualized care and guidance essential for growth and development.
Your expertise as an RBT will enable you to support a close-knit caseload of approximately twelve students, collaborating with educators and specialists to implement effective intervention strategies. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive classroom environment and helping students reach important developmental milestones.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Demonstrated experience with moderate to severe special education populations
- Previous work with elementary-aged students, ideally in grades K-2
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Understanding of IEP implementation and data collection processes
- Providing one-on-one and small group behavioral interventions
- Assisting lead teachers with classroom management for students with intensive needs
- Collecting and recording data on progress and behaviors
- Supporting ISE (Individualized Specialized Education) goals for each student
- Creating a nurturing and structured learning atmosphere
- Maintaining open communication with educational staff and families
