Technical Data Analyst

IDR is seeking a Technical Data Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves supporting data governance and modernization initiatives within the financial services sector, working on complex data platforms, and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

Position Overview for the Technical Data Analyst :

• Provide data analysis support for finance transformation projects and data governance initiatives.
• Support the implementation and modernization of financial data systems, including end-to-end requirement delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data lineage and data quality across systems.
• Utilize SQL, ETL, and modern data platform skills to develop and validate data solutions.
• Lead workstreams independently, managing issues, and communicating technical details to stakeholders.

Requirements for the Technical Data Analyst :

• 6+ years of experience as a technical data analyst.
• Proven expertise in finance modernization, including experience with subledgers, GAAP reporting, and accounting systems.
• Strong SQL, ETL development, and data transformation abilities.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, medallion architecture, and Azure-based data platforms.
• Ability to create and manage data lineage across multiple systems, including legacy environments.

$50-$53/hr
