Position Overview Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our corporate tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual tax professional to take ownership of engagements, work directly with U.S. and Japanese clients, and further develop technical expertise in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Prepare and review U.S. corporate tax returns, with a primary focus on Form 1120 Handle corporate tax compliance work for a portfolio of clients Communicate with clients in both English and Japanese Conduct tax research and support planning engagements Assist in mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff Collaborate with internal teams on cross-border tax matters Required Qualifications Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (bilingual) 3–5 years of experience at a public accounting firm or in a corporate tax department Hands-on experience with corporate tax compliance (Form 1120 experience required) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Active CPA license Experience with tax software such as ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, or UltraTax Compensation Starting salary: $130,000+ (commensurate with experience and skills) Salary increases available Performance-based bonus Work Schedule 9:00 AM — 6:00 PM with flextime Hybrid schedule: 1 day onsite per week, remaining days remote Location Gardena, California Benefits 401(k) retirement plan Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) — accrual increases with tenure; unused PTO buyback program available Paid Sick Leave Paid Holidays Work-from-home program Ideal Candidate A tax professional looking to deepen expertise in U.S. corporate taxation Someone who enjoys working with both U.S. and Japanese clients in a bilingual environment A candidate who values flexibility, including a hybrid schedule with only 1 day onsite A team-oriented professional who thrives in a boutique, high-touch firm setting
