Senior Tax Accountant (Bilingual Korean required)\n\nTimpl has partnered with a leading 3PL logistics service provider offering\nintegrated solutions including air, ocean, and ground transportation,\nwarehousing & distribution, and customs clearance. And we are seeking a Senior\nTax Accountant.\n\n\nLocation: Torrance, CA\n\nResponsibility\n• Manage tax issues and prepare strategic tax planning (previous experience\nin Mexico & Canada experience plus).\n• Develop and enforce proper accounting practices within the department and\nthe company.\n• Implement and manage business tax process offshoring strategy.\n• Correspond to state and federal tax authorities regarding tax issues.\n• Work closely with 3rd party tax preparers to coordinate tax preparations,\nreview tax returns, and minimize compliance fees.\n• Support corporate tax provision, financial reporting, and company tax\ncompliance management.\n• File annual individual state report and property tax return.\n• Responsible for filing payment and business license support to the\noperation dept.\n• Collect appropriate data and prepare federal, state, and local reports and\ntax returns.\n• Prepare quarterly tax projections and report required estimated tax\npayments to the advisor.\n• Assist in corporate tax planning and developing tax savings strategy\nand/or tax efficient corporate structure for the affiliates.\n• Recognize, anticipate, and resolve various tax issues\n• Conduct complex tax research and keep up with latest tax regulation\nupdates.\n• Provide comprehensive tax support and helpful input to acquired companies\nas needed.\n• Engage in other special projects as well as completing any additional\nduties provided by a supervisor.\n\nQualifications\n• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, tax, or related fields.\n• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and taxation.\n• Demonstrate solid understanding of accounting practices and controls.\n• Professional understanding of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all\ntypes of tax returns.\n• Strong analytical skills are required as is the ability to conduct\nin-depth research, evaluate problems, and recommend viable solutions.\n• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to relay\ntechnical accounting information to non-technical people: bilingual in Korean\nand English desired.\n• Multi-state tax experience desired.\n• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines required.\n• Attention to detail and accuracy a must.\n• Proven analytical and strategic thinking.\n• Excellent organization and communication skills.\n• Proficient presentation skills.\n• Ability to work in groups.\n• Proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\n• Excellent organizational and time management skills: self-management\nrequired.\n• CPA or EA plus.\n
