Senior Tax Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $100,000 to $120,000 per year.

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accurate tax-related disclosures.
• Provide support during tax audits, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings.
• Lead or participate in special tax-related projects as assigned by management.
• Mentor and guide junior tax accountants, providing training and support as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is highly preferred.
• 2- 3 years of public accounting experience in the real estate tax industry.
• Experience with (Prosystems, Gosystems) tax software and Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel).
• In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-experts.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
