Senior Tax Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $100,000 to $120,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accurate tax-related disclosures.
- Provide support during tax audits, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Lead or participate in special tax-related projects as assigned by management.
- Mentor and guide junior tax accountants, providing training and support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is highly preferred.
- 2- 3 years of public accounting experience in the real estate tax industry.
- Experience with (Prosystems, Gosystems) tax software and Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel).
- In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-experts.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
