Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a MS/Tele position requiring a SC or compact RN license and 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of an acute care hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 6:45a-7:15p
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to like units or sister facilities
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Tele competency required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access/management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Driver's license and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response support
• Facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 286 staffed beds
• Scrub color required: Royal Blue
• During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs
• Previous MUSC perm staff or PRN employees must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis, though non-local candidates are prioritized
• Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius to be considered local
• Block scheduling requests can be submitted for approval but are not guaranteed
