Controller

Compensation: Up to $170,000 base salary plus bonus We are supporting a confidential search for a hands‑on Controller with a growing organization in a project‑based industrial environment. Reporting directly to the CFO, this person will lead the accounting function, manage a small team, and serve as a key financial partner to operational leadership. Direct partnership with the CFO Broad ownership of the accounting function High visibility with business and operational leadership Opportunity to improve processes, reporting, and systems Growing organization with continued investment in the accounting function Key Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare financial statements, management reporting, and supporting analysis Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and internal controls Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow reporting, and financial planning Partner with operational leadership on performance, profitability, and business decisions Oversee job costing, project accounting, and WIP reporting Support billing, retainage, and other project‑based accounting processes Improve accounting procedures, reporting capabilities, and system utilization Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Previous people leadership experience Strong knowledge of financial reporting, close processes, GL accounting, and internal controls Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to operate both strategically and within the details Stable employment history with demonstrated progression Preferred Experience Construction, specialty contracting, industrial services, fabrication, or project‑based manufacturing AIA billing, retainage, or related project‑accounting processes CPA certification Annual performance bonus with additional incentive potential Comprehensive health and wellness benefits 401(k) match Unlimited PTO This is a full‑time, onsite position.
