Compensation $18.00 - $24.00 hourly commensurate with Experience and Certifications + Bonus Opportunity Up to $500.00 Monthly

$500.00 Sign On Bonus

***This is an onsite role at our Panama City Office

What You’ll Do:

As a Medical Assistant at Chrysalis Health, you’ll be a key member of our clinical team, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering client-centered service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting clients and answering phones in a professional and welcoming manner

• Calling in prescriptions and coordinating with pharmacies

• Completing insurance forms, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence

• Assisting with billing tasks and supporting front-desk operations

• Taking and recording vital signs and refilling prescriptions under physician supervision

• Collaborating with providers and care teams to support high-quality client care

• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Responsibilities:

The following are duties, responsibilities and leadership roles that the Medical Assistant shall provide for the organization:

• Ability to perform all Medical Assistant duties competently and within timeframe provided.

• Ability to communicate professional telephone etiquette.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and a busy office environment.

• Ability to report to work as scheduled, in a timely fashion and with an attitude oriented toward service.

• Ability to understand and comply with all Chrysalis Health policies and procedures.

• Presents in a professional manner in the community, in person, on telephone and in written communication, including times of extreme stress and when others are upset.

• Works effectively with culturally diverse groups and individuals experiencing an exacerbation of either psychiatric, substance use and/or medical symptoms, as well as experiencing a stressful situation.

• Works cooperatively in the work environment and takes direction from management with dignity, respect and in a productive, professional manner. 

• Works cordially with others in a team setting.

• Consistently demonstrates an understanding of, supports, and focuses on the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of Chrysalis Health in day-to-day activities.

• Ability to render compassionate care and an equal commitment to serving others in need of assistance.

• Reviews and responds to electronic and handwritten mail, memoranda and other correspondence and responds to phone inquiries timely (within 24 hours or next available business day) and in a professional manner. 

• Carries out special assignments as directed at time of a hurricane, pandemic, or other natural disaster. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Medical Assistant (MA) Certification – Required

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant

• At least 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

• Comfortable working with diverse populations and in high-stress situation
