Job Overview

The Process Technician will play a pivotal role on the production floor, ensuring that plastic manufacturing equipment runs smoothly, products meet specifications, and safety protocols are followed.

Day‑to‑Day Duties

• Operate and monitor injection molding and extrusion machines according to daily production schedules.
• Perform routine set‑ups, calibrations, and adjustments to maintain target product dimensions.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; record measurements and quality data.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, implement corrective actions, or coordinate with maintenance when needed.
• Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and shift reports.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and participate in safety drills.
• Assist with material handling, inventory control, and waste‑reduction initiatives.
• Contribute feedback for continuous‑improvement projects and process optimization.

Must‑Haves (Essential Qualifications)

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and SOPs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Nice‑to‑Haves (Desired Experience)

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the plastics industry.
• Hands‑on experience with injection molding, extrusion, or similar plastic‑processing equipment.
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Basic knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) operation is a plus.
