Job Overview
The Process Technician will play a pivotal role on the production floor, ensuring that plastic manufacturing equipment runs smoothly, products meet specifications, and safety protocols are followed.
Day‑to‑Day Duties
- Operate and monitor injection molding and extrusion machines according to daily production schedules.
- Perform routine set‑ups, calibrations, and adjustments to maintain target product dimensions.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; record measurements and quality data.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, implement corrective actions, or coordinate with maintenance when needed.
- Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and shift reports.
- Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and participate in safety drills.
- Assist with material handling, inventory control, and waste‑reduction initiatives.
- Contribute feedback for continuous‑improvement projects and process optimization.
Must‑Haves (Essential Qualifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and SOPs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Nice‑to‑Haves (Desired Experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the plastics industry.
- Hands‑on experience with injection molding, extrusion, or similar plastic‑processing equipment.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Basic knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) operation is a plus.
