Special Education Teacher

Job Description Special Education Teacher Fausey Elementary School This full‑time position of Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing explicit interventions for students identified with special needs. The servicing of these students will take place in and out of the regular education classroom. The teacher will manage a caseload of students and will update IEPs, write progress notes and provide general case management. The applicant must have good communication skills for interacting with teachers, parents and other service providers. Responsible for working with the other half‑time special‑education teacher. Responsible for scheduling and working with special‑education paraprofessionals. Responsible for supporting the principal with MCAS planning and accommodations/groups. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, Moderate Special Needs Certification, SEI endorsement.
