Location & Position Details Location: Therapy Center-Aberdeen Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: $35.50 - $53.75 Position Highlights Eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus Student Loan Repayment Program: additional $167 per month up to $10,000 Overview Responsible for the daily coordination and delivery of physical therapy services implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups according to the principles and practices of physical therapy and established objectives of the department. Responsibilities Evaluate assigned patients, gathering data from a variety of sources such as patient records, interviews, observation, and team members Develop and implement individualized treatment programs for patients needing services Use selected activities and/or tasks to promote and maintain health, and to achieve treatment goals, establishing and modifying intervention strategies based on ongoing evaluation Provide direct therapy services using various functional settings and strategies, planning therapy within the patient's individual physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities and coordinating with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans Prepare documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress notes, and other reports Communicate effectively with the patient, family, physician, and other disciplinary team members regarding the patient's status, progress, and needs Establish rapport and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members (including family/physician) throughout the patient's intervention program Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in‑service meetings, workshops, etc. Essential Qualifications Ability to work the specified hours Can perform each essential job function satisfactorily, including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities as long as these do not cause undue hardship to the employer Physical Therapist: active license in the state of practice Preferred Qualifications 1–3 years experience as a licensed physical therapist Expectations and Standards Commitment to the daily application of Avera’s mission, vision, core values and social principles to serve patients, their families, and the community.
