Perm - NP/PA - Gastroenterology Pueblo, CO

Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Work directly with a Gastroenterology physician in a full-time, outpatient setting

Provide 100% outpatient care in a busy clinic environment

See approximately 20 patients per day

Maintain a Monday-Friday clinic schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM (No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities)

Collaborate with a dedicated support team, including a Medical Assistant

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans in conjunction with the supervising physician

Manage patient care for various gastrointestinal conditions

Utilize EPIC EMR system to document patient interactions and manage care

Maintain a strong focus on patient care and customer service, striving to provide the best possible outcomes for each patient

Work in a high-volume clinic, meeting the needs of a diverse patient population

Contribute to team success by actively participating in team meetings and supporting the broader goals of the Gastroenterology department

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in Nursing, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies – REQUIRED

National board certification: NPs: Certified by ANCC or AANPCB / PAs: Certified by NCCPA (PA-C) – REQUIRED

Unrestricted license to practice as an NP or PA in the State of Colorado, or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact (for NPs) – REQUIRED

Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license to prescribe medications – REQUIRED

Full prescriptive authority, in accordance with medical staff privileging – REQUIRED

Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges – REQUIRED

BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross – REQUIRED

Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid – REQUIRED

No current or prior sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or the GSA List of Excluded Individuals and Entities – REQUIRED
