Education

Experience

At least one year of progressive experience in operating room nursing is required, including familiarity with circulating duties and surgical case setup. Candidates should have a solid understanding of surgical equipment and the ability to assist surgical technologists.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills to manage systems and personnel effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential. Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs is important. The role involves long periods of standing and walking, occasional heavy lifting, and may include exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Visual and auditory acuity are necessary for patient care and safety.
