Job Description
We are searching for a Junior Partner to join our team in the legal industry located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves leading all aspects of the trial process, coaching and guiding associates and paralegals, and ensuring client satisfaction. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the growth of the insurance defense practice.
Responsibilities
- Leading and organizing case conferences, depositions, hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations
- Overseeing the drafting of pleadings, motions, notices, and written discovery
- Conducting detailed fact investigations and inspections
- Mentoring associates and other legal staff and managing conflicts effectively
- Participating in firm-wide meetings to provide updates on docket and personnel
- Playing a key role in financial projections and growth strategies for the firm
- Implementing strategies for successful litigation including filing, defense litigation, and insurance defense litigation
- Leading the growth of the insurance defense practice
- Managing and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively
- Exceeding client expectations and achieving positive outcomes either through settlement or trial.
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas
- 7+ years of civil litigation experience with trial work in insurance defense work
- Exceptional time management, legal writing, and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to Employment Litigation a plus
- Proficiency in Insurance Defense Litigation
- Knowledge and experience in Litigation - Filing
- Work independently while handling multiple files
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to supervise junior legal staff
- Adherence to professional ethics and standards
- Ethical, future-focused, positive mindset, team player with a learner mentality
- Must be ready to lead and be eager to coach younger professionals
