Situated in Birmingham City Centre, this well‑known accountancy firm is currently recruiting for a technically strong Private Client Tax Manager. The role would suit either a qualified Manager looking to take their next step, or someone already working in a supervisory/managerial position. The firm has a growing client base driven by good marketing work and a high number of referrals. The successful applicant will be responsible for a portfolio of HNWIs & UHNWIs and will report into the Tax Partner. You will be tasked with supervising a small team, working on ad‑hoc tax advisory projects as well as other compliance‑focused areas (Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax & Trusts). You will also be expected to conduct technical research for the use and benefit of your team. Key Responsibilities Manage a private client portfolio, focusing on self‑assessment tax returns and advisory services. Supervise Tax Seniors and Trainees, providing guidance and reviewing their work. Contribute to departmental initiatives and training programmes. Support Tax Partners and identify cross‑selling opportunities. Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge and participate in marketing activities. Ideal Candidate ATT or CTA qualified with at least 5 years' experience in Personal Tax within a practice environment. The Central Birmingham office is commutable from areas across the West Midlands.
