The role offers genuine progression to Manager level within a short timeframe if targets are met. Responsibilities Assist the Audit Manager & Partner in supervising an audit team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical audit and assurance services for public‑sector clients. Assist the audit partner in establishing audit objectives and overall scope. Ensure key matters arising during the audit that were not identified at the planning stage are properly assessed and dealt with. Manage a key client portfolio, building and maintaining good working relationships with all colleagues and clients. Lead audits of varying sizes across a range of public‑sector bodies, including the NHS, local government, and social housing. Qualifications ACA, ACCA or CIPFA qualification. Experience with external audit of public‑sector entities in the UK. Commercially focused with strong relationship‑management skills; business‑development experience is a bonus.
