Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field. 1 year of experience in security engineering, or in secure software development practices, vulnerability analysis, or infrastructure security basics. Preferred qualifications Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience developing accessible technologies. Compensation US: $174000 - $253000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Responsibilities Architect and scale robust, secure platforms that automate security checks across Google Cloud’s developer pipeline and production systems. Design, optimize, and evaluate AI-driven security capabilities, leading the identification of AI opportunities across Cloud Cyber Security Engineering (CCSE); including coding. Establish engineering and security standards for large-scale distributed systems, ensuring robust end-to-end security. Analyze and distill complex technical and security data to drive key organizational decisions and roadmap prioritization. Provide technical leadership for multiple teams, vet system designs, and mentor senior engineers to help them grow into technical leaders.
