About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN license required Certifications: CPI, BLS Must-Have: - Behavioral Health Experience - Electronic Health Record Documentation - Manual Blood Pressure - Glucometer - EKG Description: Please follow the behavioral health fingerprint process. This unit has a total of 60 beds. Patient ratios are as follows: up to 23 adult patients in one area, up to 8 adult patients and up to 8 adolescents in another area, and up to 14 adult patients in the third area. The type of equipment includes quick release synthetic restraints, computer, printer, fax, telephone, and EKG. Documentation is completed using an electronic health record system. Scheduling requires working every other weekend and rotating holidays. Floating to all units may be required. You are expected to complete the care experience module during onboarding. The following advanced skills are needed: verbal de-escalation procedures. Procedures performed on the unit include observation rounds, monitoring vital signs, glucometer checks, patient and belongings searches, and milieu management/safety. Group therapy (educational) sessions will be part of your responsibilities. Dress code requires burgundy/maroon scrubs. Please review the unit-specific policies and guidelines during orientation. Awards and recognition include honors for outstanding team performance. Full-time core staff work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
