The role involves using diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring accurate images, and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing. Responsibilities Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients. Follow orders from physicians regarding the body area to be imaged. Correctly position the patient and adjust imaging equipment accordingly. Take appropriate protection precautions to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure. Calibrate imaging equipment. Prepare results for physician review. Maintain accurate patient records. Use the McKesson PACS system. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist. BLS certification. ARRT (R) national certification. State-specific licensing as required. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
