BE/BC Infectious Disease Physician Needed in Bowling Green, KY near Nashville,TN - Excellent Recruiting Incentives - Visa

Join a group of passionate infectious diseases specialists formed by 3 ID physicians and 2 nurse practitioner to provide full-spectrum infectious disease care to our community in South Central Kentucky through an integrated healthcare system that includes the main hospital and its satellite rural facilities at 5 additional locations.

• We are an established infectious disease practice employed by Med Center Health.
• We offer inpatient consultation services to The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
• We provide telehealth services to its satellite rural facilities.
• We offer outpatient services through the infectious diseases and travel medicine clinic. Our office and clinic location is within walking distance from the main hospital.
• We support the UK resident graduate medical education program for internal medicine and other disciplines and WKU medical students.
• We support multiple committees, including the Antibiotic Stewardship Program, the Infection Prevention and Control Program, and the Sepsis Committee.

Position Highlights:

• Specialty: 100% Infectious Disease specialty service
• Schedule: Weekly rotating schedule
  • Week 1: on-call 7 days covering in-patient service (carries pager after office hours)
  • Week 2: clinic 3 days (recovers 2 days from worked weekend).
  • Week 3: bridge 5 days covering in-patient service with NP support and morning clinic on 2 days (in-patient telehealth for satellite hospitals).
  • Week 4: bridge 5 days covering clinic and outpatient telehealth for satellite hospitals.
• Call Schedule: 1:4 weekly rotating schedule; On-call provider carries pager after office hours.

• EMR System: Meditech (current) - Moves EPIC in December 2026
• Facility: Bowling Green Medical Center and Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital. Albany, Caverna, Franklin, Russellville, and Scottsville Medical Center.
• Average daily hospital census: 35; Average weekly clinic appointments: 15
• Inpatient: Outpatient time 60%:40%
• APP support: Experienced NP supports physicians/ID service
