Machinist - Precision Manufacturing / Aerospace

Location: Arlington or Monroe, WA
Shift: Day Shift, Swing, or Weekend
Pay: $21-38+/hr, DOE
Position Overview
Step into a hands-on role where precision meets innovation. As a Machinist, you'll transform raw materials into high-performance components used in advanced aerospace and mechanical systems. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, problem-solving, and working with both CNC and manual equipment in a high-quality production environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Machine precision parts using lathes, mills, grinders, and other shop equipment
• Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications to plan setups and machining sequences
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including Okuma and Fanuc controls
• Hold tight tolerances while maintaining quality and efficiency standards
• Measure, inspect, and verify parts using precision measuring instruments
• Perform calculations for feeds, speeds, tooling, and dimensions
• Assemble and fit components into mechanical systems when required
• Support prototype and R&D builds, contributing to new product development
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Maximize machine uptime and productivity through proper setup and operation
• Collaborate with operations and quality teams to continuously improve processes

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of machining experience
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines, setups, and tool changes
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Experience with or ability to learn multi-channel or multi-spindle lathes
• Familiarity with Okuma and/or Fanuc controls
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

Preferred Skills

• CNC programming or editing experience (G-code / M-code)
• Aerospace machining experience
• Vocational training or machining certification
• Experience across multiple machines such as mills, lathes, and drill presses
• Exposure to machine maintenance or repair
• Cross-training across different processes and equipment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $37.00/hr.
