A diagnostic laboratory company seeks a Patient Intake Representative for its Boston location to manage patient scheduling, registration, specimen collection, and administrative tasks. The role involves greeting patients, verifying insurance, processing payments, and maintaining a welcoming clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments and greet patients at arrival
- Register patients and collect demographic and billing information
- Verify insurance coverage and process payment collection
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Contact physician offices to confirm test order accuracy
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year or more of customer service experience
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to pass colorblindness test
- Team collaboration and attention to detail
Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
