Job Description Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Speech‑Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in San Leandro, California. Responsibilities Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population. Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, offering supportive counseling as required. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech‑language therapy. Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Speech‑Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology. Experience in Speech‑Language Pathology, though new graduates are encouraged to apply. Additional certifications or licenses relevant to the position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. PC skills, ability to read/write instructions, and follow verbal instructions. Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism. Fine manipulation and motor skill proficiency when assisting with procedures and equipment. Mental resilience to handle frequent public interaction, deadlines under pressure, variable schedules, and detailed concentration. Good visual acuity and effective communication abilities.
