Job Summary:

Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients in a mental health unit, ensuring safety, therapeutic support, and adherence to treatment plans. The role involves assessing mental health status, administering medications, and delivering crisis intervention in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients' mental health conditions through comprehensive evaluations and observations.
  
  
• 
  Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and treatment goals.
  
  
• 
  Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
  
  
• 
  Deliver crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate acute behavioral or suicidal risk situations.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress, treatments, and response to interventions accurately within the electronic health system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and recovery.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  
  
• 
  At least 1 year of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing.
  
  
• 
  BLS and CPI certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to perform mental health assessments and crisis management.
  
  
• 
  Strong therapeutic communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of psychotropic medications and safety protocols.
