PART-TIME PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR (PLS) – NEW JERSEY - (226) Job Title PART-TIME PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR (PLS) – NEW JERSEY Location New Jersey - US (Primary) Job Type Part-time Category Construction Travel 0 - 25% Job Description Hirani Engineering & Land Surveying, D.P.C. is seeking a Part-Time Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensed in New Jersey to support our growing land surveying operations. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a practical understanding of survey standards, boundary analysis, and project oversight within New Jersey. The selected candidate will provide professional surveying support, review and certify survey work as required, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable regulations and client requirements. Candidates may reside outside of New Jersey, provided they hold an active New Jersey PLS license in good standing and are able to satisfy company and regulatory requirements associated with the role. Key Responsibilities Review survey deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with New Jersey requirements Sign and seal surveys, plats, and related documents, as appropriate Provide professional oversight on boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and as-built surveys Interpret deeds, title reports, easements, maps, and other record documents Support field and office staff with technical guidance and quality control Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, attorneys, municipalities, and utility representatives, as needed Assist in resolving boundary issues, survey discrepancies, and document conflicts Help ensure survey practices align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and professional ethics Participate in project planning, scheduling, and review of survey scope, deliverables, and timelines Qualifications Active New Jersey Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in good standing required New Jersey residency is not required; however, candidate must be able to support New Jersey projects in compliance with applicable licensure requirements Must be willing and eligible to become registered under Hirani Engineering & Land Surveying, D.P.C., as required Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Demonstrated experience in land surveying, boundary analysis, and survey document review Strong knowledge of New Jersey surveying standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements Experience with deed research, title review, and legal descriptions Proficiency with survey-related software and CAD platforms preferred Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, and problem-solving ability Effective communication and collaboration skills Preferred Experience Experience supporting a consulting engineering or land surveying firm Familiarity with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivision mapping, and construction layout Ability to provide mentorship or technical guidance to junior survey staff #J-18808-Ljbffr
