We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Activity Director (LTC/SNF) to join our team at Avir at Corpus Christi, a premier long-term care and skilled nursing facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that promotes resident engagement and socialization

• Conduct assessments to identify resident interests and needs, and design activities to address these needs

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure activities align with resident care plans

• Coordinate and lead activities, including outings, events, and recreational programs

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules

• Develop and manage budgets for activity programs

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

• Provide guidance and support to activity assistants and volunteers

Requirements

• Current certification as an Activity Director (LTC/SNF)

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Activity Director in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities
