Golf School District 67 is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative Technology Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in computer technology combined with excellent interpersonal skills to support our staff, students, and the community in alignment with our mission: "Learning Today... ROLE OVERVIEW

• Location: District-wide
• Classification: Educational Support Personnel | Golf Teacher and Support Staff Union

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & GOALS

• Instructional & Operations Support: Providing timely help desk, phone, and onsite technical support to end users while resolving hardware, software, and basic network problems.
• System Maintenance: Assessing malfunctions, upgrading systems, and installing/configuring computers, applications, and peripherals to meet user needs.
• Inventory & Procurement: Procuring equipment, supplies, and materials to ensure inventory availability, while coordinating external hardware repairs and keeping service records.
• Ethical Use Promotion: Adhering to and communicating copyright laws and guidelines to promote the ethical use of technology throughout the school community.
• Logistics & Collaboration: Transporting technical equipment and supplies between sites for repairs or deployment, and working under limited supervision to direct tasks within a small work unit.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Demands: Regular office activities (sitting, standing, computer use) and the ability to review data and written materials. Occasional lifting and transporting of items up to 50 pounds.
• Mobility: Mobility: Ability to move freely throughout district buildings, including walking and climbing stairs, with regular travel between building sites.
• Environment: Responsibilities are carried out under minimal temperature variations within a generally hazard-free environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary Range

Salary will be established in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Board of Education and the Golf Teachers and Support Staff Union Local 1274. The specific range is determined based on the candidate's education level and years of experience.
