Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. This position involves providing professional nursing care in a fast-paced operating room environment, primarily focused on orthopedic procedures but encompassing various specialties.

Available shifts: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts

Shift start time: 0630

Daylight shifts are typically 0630 to 1500, 0630 to 1630, or 0600 to 1800

No weekend or holiday rotations required

Assist in the preparation and organization of the operating room

Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and safe patient care

Conduct terminal cleaning and setup for surgical cases

Participate in the full range of surgical procedures, including orthopedic, ENT, GYN, spine, urology, cataract, and general surgeries

May assist in the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) as needed, including organizing and putting away instruments

Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Kansas

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required

Minimum of 1 year of experience in orthopedic surgery, specifically with total joint replacements and sports medicine

BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC)

The operating room consists of 6 surgical suites and operates Monday through Friday. The environment is dynamic, focusing heavily on orthopedic cases, and we pride ourselves on efficiency and teamwork.

Staff in this role will be provided with hospital-laundered scrubs. Policies are in place regarding personal adornments and vaccination requirements, which align with CDC recommendations for healthcare workers.
