Harrison Steel has openings for Hand Grinders on 2nd shift. This employee will clean and remove excess material from castings using a 30-pound, 5-horsepower handheld straight grinder. This critical position allows us to meet our company's driving principle of Satisfying Our Customer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Grinds all welds, seams, and high spots marked by the line inspector safely and efficiently using large hand grinders.Inspects equipment daily.Communicates to supervisor quality and equipment problems.Follows job work instructions and training matrix, where applicable.Qualifications / Skills:Basic math & English reading skills Experience using an industrial grinder preferredAbility to solve simple problems Adhere to safety policies and practices High level of personal accountability and attention to detailPrevious manufacturing experience preferredWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
