Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,285-$2,402 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10-hour nights Start date: 08/31/2026 Setting: Short-term acute care hospital (PACU) Travel assignment Responsibilities Provide nursing care to surgical patients in the immediate preoperative and postoperative period Receive and integrate handoff reports from anesthesiologists, surgeons, and circulating RNs into the care plan Ensure control of pain, bleeding, and nausea; secure proper patient positioning and airway management; monitor and stabilize vital signs Respond immediately to emergencies and life-threatening events; monitor hemodynamic status and interpret ECG rhythms Administer medications and IV therapies, manage indwelling catheters and drains, and operate relevant critical-care equipment safely Adhere to the unit’s chain of command, document accurately, and uphold patient safety and quality of care standards Requirements Active RN license in the state of practice Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 1 year of hire Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care experience Eligibility to work in the PACU setting and maintain required certifications Benefits and Support Dedicated travel recruiter and assignment support 24/7 travel support during the assignment Guaranteed hours for the duration of the assignment Credentialing and onboarding assistance What to do next Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
