Bookkeeper

Job Description

The Bookkeeper at 111 Sign is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial records of the company including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll support and monthly reconciliations. Working closely with operations sales and management the Bookkeeper ensures accurate and up-to-date financial information for reporting and tax purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger
• Process accounts payable including entering vendor bills scheduling payments and managing vendor accounts
• Manage accounts receivable by issuing customer invoices applying payments and following up on overdue balances
• Reconcile bank credit card and merchant accounts on a monthly basis
• Prepare payroll inputs and coordinate with the payroll provider
• Track job costs and match material and labor costs to individual orders
• Handle sales tax tracking and filing including resale and exemption certificates
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for management
• Assist with inventory valuation and month-end year-end close processes
• Maintain organized records and provide documents for tax preparation
• Support budgeting cash flow tracking and expense reporting
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and accounting errors

Requirements

• 1 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Strong Excel skills
• Understanding of accounts payable accounts receivable and bank reconciliation
• Attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills
• Effective communication with customers and internal teams
• Discretion in handling confidential financial information
