A healthcare facility in Grants, NM is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a direct hire opportunity to manage pharmacy operations and ensure optimal patient drug therapy. This role requires a strong clinical background, pharmacy leadership skill, and commitment to patient safety in a hospital environment.

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, fill, label, and dispense medications, including parenteral and IV solutions, ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards
• Monitor patient drug therapies for safety, effectiveness, and appropriateness, providing drug information and education to healthcare professionals and patients
• Oversee pharmacy inventory, maintain accurate records, and supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel
• Participate in formulary management, Automated Dispensing Machine (ADM) updates, and clinical duties as mandated by medical staff and policies
• Engage in emergency response situations such as Rapid Response Teams and Code Blue events
• Uphold quality, compliance, and professional development by completing competency evaluations, continuing education, and adherence to codes of conduct

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
• Current, active New Mexico pharmacy license
• 1–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations considered
• Strong clinical knowledge including pharmacology, therapeutics, and age-specific medication considerations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership and supervisory abilities in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and automated dispensing technology
• Commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and lift up to 40 pounds
• Capability to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
