As a material handler, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of materials throughout the department in Packaging. This position works Monday through Thursday 3:00 pm – 1:30 am, overtime as needed. Employees working 2nd shift will receive a $1.00 shift differential for every hour worked.

What You'll Be Doing (% of Time)

• You will mainly be responsible for the flow of material in, and out of the department. (70%)
• You will be responsible for staging bins/wire for nail and screw mfg. (15%)
• You will be responsible for accurately locating all products removed from the department in the designated rack. (10%)
• You will be responsible for checking and ensuring that all counts are correct on raw and finished goods that are taken from the department. (5%)

• Problem solving- In this position, there will be occasions where you have to make on the spot decisions.
• 6 months-Forklift/Reach-truck experience

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

Work Environment

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

This job requires 0% domestic travel.

Work Status & Location

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Gallatin, TN.

Pay

$23.00 - $31.97 / hour
