Forklift Driver

Join a top Moving & Relocation company based in the outskirts of Nashville, TN as a Forklift Driver, assisting with commercial, and household goods transportation operations. This position is critical for safely transporting, loading, unloading, and organising high-value moving client assets in fast-paced warehouse and field settings. Ideal candidates possess forklift skills, logistics coordination, and moving industry experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Use forklifts safely to load, unload, move, and stage domestic items, office furniture, and industrial equipment.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and storage vaults effectively.
• Daily inspection and maintenance of forklift equipment is necessary to ensure its operated safely.
• Organise the moving companies warehouse inventory, storage areas, and shipment staging sites.
• Assist with packaging, wrapping, crating, and protecting moving customers goods for transportation.
• Coordinate with drivers, movers, and warehouse staff to achieve project deadlines.
• Follow OSHA's safety regulations and the moving companies guidelines.
• Perform inventory checks and accurately fill out shipment documentation.
• Handle specialised equipment, large gear, and sensitive client materials.
• Assist with residential household goods (HHG) moves as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organised work environment.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Previous forklift driving experience within warehouse, logistics, moving, or relocation environments.
• Experience in household goods (HHG) and/or office and industrial (O&I) relocation services.
• OSHA forklift certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy items and working in demanding environments.
• Excellent teamwork, dependability, and time management abilities.
