Must-Have: Experience in performing CT scans, IV contrast administration, willingness to help with X-ray

Description: Hiring process includes a profile review and interview with the unit manager. Travelers will be utilized for both CT and X-ray. Department has one GE scanner. Will float between CT and X-ray as needed. Common imaging studies performed include all CT scans, strokes, and trauma. The department uses Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS. Department specific equipment includes GE 64 slice. The lead tech is available for support. No registered radiology assistants are utilized in the department. Radiologists are in-house typically Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Technologists are not required to start IVs, as IVs are typically started in the emergency department or inpatient unit. Self-scheduling and block scheduling are not available. Weekend and holiday staffing is required. Call or standby requirement is in place; response time is expected. There is no dress code for scrubs, and scrubs are not provided. Orientation specific to the department will take place, along with hospital orientation requirements. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting system used is EPIC. No BSN is required for this position. This is an acute care setting.
