Shipper and Receiver

Shipper / Receiver

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor the Shipper / Receiver is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, accepting deliveries, verifying shipment records, accepting shipments, and follows all shipping regulations.

Deliver product to the proper inventory location, department or personnel.

Understand safe handling and placement procedures of heavy loads.

Change inventory locations when necessary.

Resolve product and/or receiving concerns.

Prepare product and documents for shipping to customers.

Ensure customer order and product match, box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary.

Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct.

Direct or stage customer supplied equipment in appropriate areas.

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year experience in receiving or shipping role.

Experience with workplace tools such as Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
