PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Volume/Census: Clinic: 12-15 patients/day; Inpatient consults: 5-10/day
  • Rounding: 5-10 patients/day
  • Case Mix: Diagnostic cath, angioplasty, stenting, stress echo, nuclear stress, echo, holter, event monitors, TEE, cardioversions
FACILITY INFORMATION

  • EMR System: Epic
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Credentialing Timeline: 60 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • Diagnostic catheterization
  • Angioplasty
  • Stenting
  • Stress echo
  • Nuclear stress
  • Echocardiography interpretation
  • Holter monitoring
  • Event monitoring
  • TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography)
  • Cardioversion
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active IA license required; Universal License (IMLC) accepted.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide call coverage for interventional cardiology, including 24-hour call shifts.
  • Round on clinic patients (12-15 per day) and inpatient consults (5-10 per day).
  • Perform interventional procedures such as diagnostic catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, stress echo, nuclear stress, TEEs, and cardioversions.
  • Cover general cardiology call as needed.
  • Maintain active Iowa medical license and comply with credentialing requirements.
