Collaborative Care Integrated Mental Health Therapist: Primary Care, King County

Primary location: Auburn or Lake Meridian* Position Summary The Integrated Mental Health Therapist (IMHT) works within a multidisciplinary team embedded in a primary care clinic and utilizes the Collaborative Care model of care. The team includes the IMHT, Psychiatric Consultant, and Primary Care Provider to provide comprehensive behavioral health services within the primary care setting. The IMHT will provide evidence-based interventions, partnering with the treatment team to promote symptom reduction and optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Assesses patients’ symptoms and creates customized treatment plans based on individual needs. Screens patients for common behavioral health disorders using PHQ-9, GAD-7, Columbia Suicide Risk Assessment, or other required tools. Monitors patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications, aiming to reduce symptoms. Supports psychotropic medication management prescribed by PCPs, focusing on adherence, side effects, and effectiveness. Tracks patient follow-up and clinical outcomes using a registry and identifies and re-engages patients as needed. Facilitates care plan changes for patients who are not improving, including medication or psychosocial treatment adjustments or appropriate referrals. Manages behavioral health crises as they arise in a primary care setting. Provides flexible behavioral health services to patients on and off the current caseload, both through scheduled appointments and immediate interventions via warm handoffs during medical visits with primary care providers. FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Day Potentially up to $5,000 sign-on bonus! Potentially up to $10,000 relocation bonus! Requirements Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field. Licensed as a mental health professional per HB 1724: Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Social Worker Independent Clinical Lic (LICSW). Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a behavioral health setting. Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by pay transparency laws, we share a competitive salary range: $42.64 – $61.37 USD. Compensation may vary based on skill set, experience, and certification(s).
