Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required; pediatric/NICU experience preferred.

License: NC RRT in hand

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRT required

Must-Have:

• Experience in respiratory care management.
• Ability to coordinate budget preparation and operational reports.
• Proficiency in developing professional standards and quality assurance programs.
• Skills in teaching in-service education classes as required.
• Experience in making personnel recommendations and handling scheduling.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with medical and administrative staff.
• Attendance at workshops and seminars for professional development is essential.

Description: Assist in planning and directing the activities of Respiratory Care Services. Administer, direct, and coordinate the activities of the Department of Respiratory Care Services to meet the needs of patients and staff. Coordinate the preparation of the budget and assist in determining fiscal requirements. Compile data for operational reports and analyses highlighting progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations. Participate in the development of professional standards and quality assurance programs. Teach in-service education classes as required. Recommend personnel actions including hiring, promotions, and vacation schedules. Plan and conduct meetings with departmental personnel to ensure compliance with established practices. Implement new policies and keep employees informed of changes and current standards. Serve as a liaison with medical personnel and administrative staff as needed. Attend workshops, seminars, and professional meetings to stay updated on technological changes and management techniques. Perform other related duties as required.
